BSM-To Shadow or Not?
So placed an order last week on a BSM with cognac interior. Currently have a week 20 projected build.
My question is should I stick with the shadow line and blacked out wheels or is that too much black? Hoping somebody has maybe seen both or can share a thought. I love black rims in general but wonder if it will look like a hearse or something. Great forum and excited for my new car whenever it may come 😀 |

I have a thundernight metallic. If I didn't go with this Id go black all the way with red calipers. It's a great look on the 2er

It's your car, get what you want. I am personally not a fan of black everything but some people love it and make everything they possibly can black.
I went BG, had I gone with black I'd likely skip shadow line to break it up a bit and get red calipers and TR inheritor. |

Absolutely. With shadowline the whole front of the car would blend together in the same color. That's a neat look other color wouldn't have

I personally like the black on black look and I've heard multiple reviewers say it hides some of the less popular styling this car has, specifically in the rear. BSM without shadowline seems less popular so you might have trouble finding pictures for comparison.
Some good photos of BSM + black wheels + shadowline here: https://g42.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1912357 Video here: |

I have the BSM with extended shadowline but went with bi-color wheels just to give it a flash of something other than black... i'll be posting pics eventually..
i don't think either way is wrong, but i know what you're thinking as i had the same dilemma... my sales guy called it mine bat mobile.. and i wasn't sure how i felt about that... |

IMO. I think the front looks better all Black, but each to there own choice of colours. Would be weird if everyone liked the same things

It does look sweet and black and I think will sustain for longer. I worry that other different colors become tiresome but may be wrong. Appreciate the pic

I chose thundernight metallic and the standard grey accenting trim. The shadow line trim looks great, but my opinion is that it works best with lighter paints (unless you are going for all blacked out).
I like the grey trim and kept it to give the car more depth and dimensionality. |
