12/05/09 MIR Track Rental
Calendar: USA - Mid-Atlantic

Hey everyone, time for one last track rental for the year. I have reserved both lanes at MIR for December 5th (saturday) for the one big weekend rental of the year. The cost will remain $100/car but MIR will charge $10 for spectators (it was either that or they would charge $200/car to run since its a offseason weekend rental!). Please bring cash to the track. Hopefully we get a good turnout like we did last time. There are people coming from long distances to attend this one. Hope to see some familiar faces as well as some new ones on the 5th!
RSVP'd Yes: 9 RSVP'd Maybe: 6
RSVP sign-ups for this event are now closed.

I'm glad some of you guys will be able to make it. The cool weather and awesome track prep will be optimal conditions for racing

TT viper is definitely coming with a few more cars so I'm assuming that same group that was there last time (TT mustang and promod). I don't want to post up who is coming because I am not sure if the people will actually show up. But just a basic run down in general is: Ton of benzes, bunch of BMW's, maybe some Audis, bunch of supras, some GTR's, maybe turbo IS300, twin turbo viper, some SRT8's, ZR1, etc etc. As you know there is always a nice collection of cars and a great time. I will have them open the suite this time so we can get away from the cold if need be. We just have to keep it clean so they extend the courtesy to us again next time. We will again be doing street tires left lane, d/r's or slicks right lane. People are going to be shooting for records!!!

Alright guys, we are going to keep street tire cars to one lane and drag radial/slicks to the other lane like we did last time. The drag radial/slick cars can use both lanes if they like. The reason we do this is because street tire cars tear up the track prep. It worked out well. The street tire lane will be prepped to the 330' (thats plenty of VHT!) and I just got word that the slick/drag radial lane will be prepped the full 1/4 mile! :zoom:

For those of you that are coming into town friday night (and the rest of us locals that wanna hang out) we have setup a dyno day/meet at my friends shop the night before the track rental. If you wanna come out and dyno to see where your car sits before the big track day you can dyno your car 3 pulls with afr for $55! It is a dynojet. The shop is called ISP and here is their site www.ispracing.com He says he might roast a whole pig for those of you that might want to pitch in. It will be fun :naughty:

Here is the address and info:

It's just so far away for me but we'll see. I could make a stop at passport BMW on the way though, take advantage of the sales they're having that day...

What time does it start and end? I'll be coming from Aldie, VA
