Who's on the Maersk Teal?
Our E91 has left Germany (Sept. 19th) on the ship Maersk Teal, bound for the port of New Jersey. She's due in September 30th.
Anyone else have new babies on this boat? If so, let's compare notes, updates, etc. here.

Nikki - are you sure? NJ is a long way from south FLA. I would think yours would be coming in to South Carolina. I could be wrong...

OK, that makes sense. Cool. Here's to a pair of Arctic beauties traveling the Atlantic together!

I'm on the Maersk Teal as well. Was told it will arrive in South Carolina on October 5.
Sure wish they'd step on the gas...

Has anyone found a way to get the port schedule for NY/NJ? My E90 came in at that port of SC and they have a great site that shows the ship schedules. The NY/NJ Port Athority site doesn't seem to have this ability.

I am on the Maersk Teal also. Congrats to everyone here! Argelius, where did you find out that the MT will be in South Carolina on 10/5/05? I am scheduled to do a PCD and haven't heard that specific date. Actually, I was not told a date at all, just that it will be early October.

I'd love to find a website that would graphically track the ship's progress across the ocean (via GPS), but I'm not aware of one. Mid October (when I am guessing I'll get my car) seem sooooooo far away!

Does anyone know how long after a ships arrival does it take to actually be able to take delivery of the car?

Yep, these things happen. It's a long trip across the Atlantic and weather can also play a big role. It can also be stuck at port for days if the port is busy... they will offload perishable cargo ships first for instance.
I'm figuring I'll see the car around mid October. Earlier is great, but no need to get the hopes up.

I used European delivery. The vehicle was loaded in Bremen and off-loaded in Bayonne, New Jersey. The vehicle was trucked to South Carolina and then on to Florida. Just because the vehicle winds up down south, doesn't mean that the ship will necessarily transport it to South Carolina. I dropped off my car in Frankfurt on August 11th and it arrived at the Florida dealership on Sept 12th.
