Nice writeup! Was your G82 also a manual? I assume that the transmission and shift experience is the same as the other G8x cars, is that so? (It should be since it is the same parts, AFAIK)
Because if so, then I know what I'm getting and can set my expectations accordingly. That being: OK with the shifter, occasionally annoyed by the weird clutch travel.
Edit: and I don't mind high RPM gearing, I came up on NA engines and motorcycles.
