Specifically E92 fuel injectors that had been covered by BMW once, were no longer covered with the excuse that BMW and Dinan had parted ways even though they were within the warrantee period. Neither Dinan or BMW would help so I sold the vehicle, which I loved up to that point. Disclosing the issue, the buyer had to have all 6 fuel injectors replaced out of his own pocket.

Ahh, gotcha. Not an accurate excuse given either but nonetheless. The reality is CPO and Extended warranties are treated completely different as they are held to a different standard. Won't get into the weeds on all the legal mumbo jumbo but ultimately the Dinan warranty has always been specific to the factory new car warranty (first 4yr/50k) where there are some legal protections afforded.
