This plate holder was designed for the G42, I think, but works fine on the G87. It comes with (2) 7mm spacers, I used one.
It seems reasonably secure, except I worry it's going to rotate. There's no keying in the assembly to prevent the plate from rotating over time, and I'm going to keep an eye on it. It has a lock washer, but those don't always work.
It's reasonably adjustable on the yaw axis. The plate holder itself has plenty of mount points so you can position it. Because I'm worried about rotation, I mounted the plate dead center over the tow hook spot. I think it looks fine there, but you could push it leftward if you wanted.
I wouldn't put it in a car wash. It's not a quick-release system, so if you go to car washes, this is probably not the product for you.
Bottom line: IF it doesn't rotate over time, it will be sufficient. Build quality is decent. I'm going to keep it for now, but if it slips I'll get something else.
If anyone can post a similar review on the RHO or any other product, that would be great!
