I have to manually set the parking brake.

During my first week of ownership, the P-brake would energize whenever I parked my MT car and placed the gearbox in 1st or reverse.
Now, regardless of the gear I park in, I have to apply the P-brake manually.
Plus, the car has to be in the drive-ready state to disable the P-brake...either by depressing the button, or drive off.
Hill-hold still works as it should.
Frankly, I prefer that I have to enable the P-Brake myself, but I'm curious why the auto-enable function stopped working after 1-week?
No sure if I'll have the dealer look into this at my next scheduled service.
