Picked up my 2024 M2 BGM with PCD at Greer last month, adding to my longtime street/track E36 M3 and E92 M3. First time ever purchasing an auto car (sharing it with my wife).
The PCD was awesome. First off, my wife, who has never been on track and was intimidated by the thought of it, found it fun and welcoming. They told us that 50% of guests at PCD end up purchasing a BMW soon after the trip, and it's clear why - you definitely drink the Cool Aid (which was my intention for her as well). For me, I booked a private session so I got some much-needed time on the skid pad and hot laps around the track after the new-owner events (kind of lame if you've ever been on track). Overall it was a 10/10 experience. I then Tracwrap'ed in their parking lot and drove the 800 miles home to NY. Stayed over at Primland in VA - highly recommend if you like the mountain setting (last pic).
This car is really incredible. Jumping from an E92 M3, the M2's new tech, engineering and abilities are really jaw dropping. Aside from the numb steering feel and turbo lag (especially coming from an S65), the car is just so good. Suspension is great, steering accuracy and sharpness is incredible, and power on boost is wild. While it can't compare with the sound of the S65, shifting under full boost makes up for it somewhat.
First track event is in two weeks at Watkins Glen with GVC, so excited to get back on track for the first time in 13 years!
