CS vs. xDrive G87

Hey guys. So I'm 1st in line for the upcoming CS at my local dealership. I've been having second thoughts since placing my deposit ($1k) on the M2 CS though - given that the M2 xDrive has actually been confirmed by ynguldyn (shoutout to ynguldyn).

Before I bought my Macan Turbo, I seriously considered an M240i xDrive, but ultimately loved the utility, ground clearance, and quality of what P-Cars offer. My Macan is a forever car for me, just like my 328i

I'd like forum opinion on the pros and cons for paying a premium for a CS, vs. saving some money and grabbing an xDrive M2 ~2027. I'm versed in tuning and modifications, so my thought was that for me, the xDrive platform might not just be more of a DD, but faster in real world applications. Open to all opinions from any forum member, from any vehicle!

P.S. It's great to be back on this forum. Even after driving P-Cars for a bit, and test-driving other offerings... M Cars are still very special machines, even with current controversy on styling and transmission options.
