I bought the same gloss black splitter from AutoID last year. There weren't (and still aren't) a lot of gloss black options and I liked the look of this one the most. The fitment was a little tricky but with some finagling I got it to look nearly perfect.
Over the summer, I went to the beach and unfortunately encountered a steeper than anticipated decline exiting a hotel parking lot and cracked the splitter. I was able to do a temporary repair but somewhere along the line it broke all the way through and I lost a portion of it on a backroad.
I've been looking to purchase a replacement splitter and did some research on other options. The only other offering from a reputable company I could find was from Maxton, and after talking with one of their reps, it sounded like a cumbersome installation involving removal of the bumper and I'm just not interested in that for what I consider to be a consumable item. I also hate the logo placement on virtually all of their products.
Long story short, I started checking out AliExpress and found what appears to be the same splitter that AutoID is selling. I purchased and just received
this one, and as far as I can tell it is 100% identical. AutoID was $300 with shipping and the one from AliExpress was $117. Here's how it looks unboxed:
Even the part markings are identical. I'll reserve final judgement until installation and full comparison of the old one. I'm hoping to install it tomorrow and will post an update afterwards.
