I'm in SoCal, but I'm like you, the NorCal tracks have a better vibe, a better flow for the most part, and a nicer environment.
I love the original Buttonwillow, the new one not so much. Chuckwalla is one local track I need to try, I went there to watch once but never got to drive there. I thought it was more of a motorcycle track, design-wise, but I might be wrong. It get hot over there though...
