It won’t improve anything. Slower limits cause boredom. Boredom causes fatigue. Fatigue is one of major causes of fatal accidents as they generally involve falling asleep and hitting something without any brakes at all. Often another car.

indeed and sadly very true. Think at this rate we will end back at the horse and cart so we are all safe. But then you may fall from the cart, so perhaps jusy foot and wheel barrow.
I flew to Sydney to bring home the E93, the 9hrs journey back to Brisbane only has self prepared stops. So you can stretch but there is no food or coffee. Half way at Coffs is your option for refreshments. Seems removing towns or stops so its quicker but then slowing speeds would be very typical of our governance.
I mean its great now its duel lane so slow cars, trucks, caravan are not a problem, just a maximum of 110km/h is. Could easily be 140 but I don't think Australians are cultured into respecting that. Dick heads doing 100 would still sit in the fast lane, and no way a speed camara would ping them for that. Plus there is truth in a previous post old cars are just not up to it. Think the BMW would be the only car out of the other 4 in this house hold that would do 140 happily and safely.
Still I managed to tap 200 in the old girl when the road was clear and open, good fun and doesn't take long for a car made for it to achieve it. But then I remembered they have distance averaging cameras and thought opps.
