I've done it for my Jb3, I stated +20% BHP (i.e. +60bhp) and Sainsburys insurance added £170 per annum onto my existing £1200 premium.
They have grades of bhp upgrades to ECUs +10%, +20%, +30% etc.
Some insurers will decline though, so make sure you ask BEFORE you get the work done.
I also declared my suspension mods, all under 'lowered suspension less than 100mm' for another £40 per year.
