Not really. The "upper limit" is the ability of the ECU to utilize the extra octane because its programmed for a range. Unless Im mistaken 96 is from a car rag test where they found an M3 didnt make more power on a stock tune with octane higher than 96. Hence the comments about needing a tune. You can run all the octane you want but you are just pissing money away above a certain threshold. |
