Because his Youtube academy course said catchy stupid looking thumbnail and preview pic is the way to go. Fk.ng irritating to look at as well, yes.
And yes, I clicked, saw the flashy M2, attention of 5 seconds, then skipped to end, saw more camera panning around car (1 second), and I closed the video. Probably not good for the stats. So much for the thumbnail. But it hands here on front page, gets the clicks.
