It's the concept that Porsche uses for it's Surface Coated Brake technology. By coating the rotor with tungsten carbide, dust is reduced 90%, allowing them to pair it with a white caliper that stays clean. A small amount of the reduction is different pads, but it's mostly the rotors. https://www.porsche.com/internationa...iew/article03/
