I don't have a C7 GS but i have a C7Z.
The Z06/ZR1 are in a class of it's own. No M car can touch it when you talk about pure performance and looks.
However if this is going to be your only car, then perhaps the M4 might be a better choice. Especially if you get the x-drive.
However i am fortunate enough to own both my C7Z (with the C8Z on the way this year hopefully), and my M3 comp that whenever i want to be in a race car, i'll hop in the vette. If i want something a bit more practical where not every single person on the highway wants to race me or take a shit load of pictures, i'll hop in the M3.
If you can swing it, have both.
