However if this is going to be your only car, then perhaps the M4 might be a better choice. Especially if you get the x-drive.
However i am fortunate enough to own both my C7Z (with the C8Z on the way this year hopefully), and my M3 comp that whenever i want to be in a race car, i'll hop in the vette. If i want something a bit more practical where not every single person on the highway wants to race me or take a shit load of pictures, i'll hop in the M3.
If you can swing it, have both.

Cannot agree more and the vette looks awesome . I have other family cars and can't afford to keep M4 and C7, wish I could
Since you drive both how would you describe the M4 against vette?
I need a manual and hence can't buy the M4 competition which I would have if they offered a a MT
