Well, I stayed ahead of an M235i from a rolling start at around 20 mph up to 120 before we had to slow down. Sure, I might have been half a second quicker on the throttle but that shouldnīt matter. This was 2 weeks ago, did the same thing to the same guy in his former E92 335i last spring.

All 3 cars are automatic. My only mods are lighter wheels and the 335i MPE-conversion, nothing else. The 20" wheels weigh 25.8 lbs a piece and I have the MPSS 245/35-20 all round. Over the 403Mīs with the RFīs I have shaved off maybe 40 lbs in total. When I changed to these wheels 1.5 years ago I instantly felt how much lighter the car felt in both the handling and how it built up speed. And going to the 335i MPE in March this year, I felt it pulled a little stronger in the higher speeds than before. I think saving a few pounds on the much much lighter MPE muffler and the very noticeable back pressure reduction, did something for the performance.

First time in the 335i he was not very happy when he passed me after slowing down, but this time he smiled and made the thumbs up. I was really shocked to say the least. I guess all these minor mods and having a less than half a tank of gas, plus that half second quicker on the throttle, add up to minimizing the performance gap. I have no other explanation, had his been a manual he could have blamed it on that but.. Did some unscientific 0-100 km/h runs with the app "Car Performance" and got constant 5.1 seconds. Sport+, D/S, shifts at 6k, just normal kickdown no torque braking and absolutely no wheelspin (awesome tires!). Before all these mods, with the same settings in the app, I used to do it in 5.6 s.

Just thought Iīd share this here for fun. If you donīt believe me thatīs up to you, I donīt have anything to gain on trolling here so ;-)
