i asked my dealer to research this very topic as well. i spent 2 hours at my dealership listening to regular and premium audio in the 335 to get a feel for what the relative difference might be like in the 1. yes, i know they won't be the same systems. i can definitely say that both systems were worlds better than my premium hk stereo in my e46 m3. so, whatever they might pack in there will certainly be better than what i'm used to. my big dilemma is that i'm a huge aftermarket fan. but i've always dumped money into suvs, not small coupes. i'm still undecided if i should go w/ the upgrade (not even knowing what it entails or sounds like) of i should pass on it and just add stuff later.
in any case, if my dealer does end up finding anything out, i'll be sure and post it up here.
