Your G42 will be slower than the G87 M2 if you have RWD now, although the B58 has more low down torque compared to the S58 so it’s a different feel. The M2 is faster at higher speeds due to this, the S58 doesn’t really “get going” until a certain RPM, S58 drivers will tell you this if you compare it to a B58. Course, once it does get going it wants to go hella fast all the time. The S58 hates cruising around town, but then again it’s meant for the track.

Curious, was the M2 you drove a manual or 8AT? I am also sure you kept it within breakin limits...
