If I was the chief engineer there, having seen these weight figures, i would do anything and everything now to claim the throne from BMW - by spending all my resources and R&D on weight reduction (and to convince the board that it will make the greatest business sense)

I'm not sure either, but I assume that its at least 4 years away since we haven't even gotten the facelifted RS5 he in NA yet. I think it will take Audi some serious work to win over BMW fans because I always hear that they aren't on quite the level dynamically as BMW due to the understeer.
