Unfortunately never had a 5. Currently own a x5. LT4 engine is a beast, steering is better than my bmw X5 and OG M2. Suspension is more forgiving but keeps the car very level. I don’t know on tranny since it’s my first manual but it feels very mechanical and clutch bite point was easy to find. Tech is similar to F series, interior is equal to my OG M2. Fit and finish isn’t as good. Overall driving dynamics of car is really good and it scares u a bit since there is so much power so low in power band. Accidentally spin tires all the time in 2-3k range as I keep learning on the manual. Car drives smaller than it is.
