That’s why I’ve always loved renting cars in Europe. You’d never find a Manual rental here. You always want what you can’t have I suppose. I have a lot of family in Europe and many of them described or associated Autos as luxury items back in 80s/90s. Higher petrol prices lended to smaller cars, Diesels, and of course Manuals which always had better gas mileage back then.
