Hi
we pay a lot of tax here in UK to drive a vehicle
1, We pay a yearly road tax based on Co2 emissions this tax is banded A-G ,and is paid on every vehicle you own, and use on the road, vehicles not being used must be registered not in use and then pay no road tax.
group A is below 100g/km and is free, at the moment only electric vehicles fall in to this group
group B is 101g/km-120g/km and hybids and small city cars are mostly in this group costs £35 p.a $70

group C 121g/km- 150g/km costs £115 p.a $230
group D 151g/km- 165g/km £140/$280
group E 166g/km - 185g/km £165/$330
group F over 185g/km £205/$410
group G over 225g/km £300/$ 600 ( from 2006 onwards )
2, petrol/diesel is really expensive it's nearly £1 a litre so thats
approx £4.50 a gallon $9.00!!!!!!!!!
of course the govt does'nt actually spend the road tax on the road otherwise they'd be the best in the world!!!
p.s. what's the tax ,fuel situation in the states?
