So are the clips exposed, when you remove the grill? I didn't notice this with another member's car when he posted pictures.. I won't mention his name.
Also I always see exposed intercoolers, but is it better to have the grill in front to protect it?
I like the way it looks exposed.

I removed both of the side grilles as well as the center grille. I simply removed all the 8mm bolts underneath and more or less wrestled the grilles out. Getting them back in may be a bit more challenging, especially once they're refinished. I can tell you in a couple days.
