Fair point. It may be possible to do, but I doubt BMW will invest.

IIRC the previous gen M2 had a MT take rate of about 50% in the US, and under 10% everywhere else. The take rate in the M240 wasn't enough so MT is gone there.

I don't see why BMW would put any real money into MT development.

I'm shocked the Z4 M40i has MT, that's a super low volume car, so I'm guessing that's a complete re-use of existing tech.
