Good point. I remember pricing out an M3 in 2001, and it was $52K with what I would call necessary options (leather, sunroof, xenons, hk, heated seats) ... They add up fast. So that means the new one, even with a sub 55K base price, could come in at $60K with the basic/popular options. Or at least, high 50's base if they add more standard equipment than they did with the E46. Add Nav and SMG
and it's more like $65K... I guess that's about what we all expected.
