These engines are known for using a high amount of oil if you push them. The manual also states not to add oil until told to do so. I don't think this is excessive if you are pushing it and keeping the revs up. I use a liter of oil in about 15,000km, but not so much during the winter. Have your dealer check if you are concerned, or if you have not been keeping the revs up.
