What a lot of people seem to be doing with G87 spacers right now is lining up their tire to be flush with the fender, but what you want (especially when lowered) is the lip of the wheel to be flush and the tire very slightly in. If you look at IND's pics above, 18mm rear with 1-2 more degrees of camber would be perfect. 18 in the front might be ideal as well but I'm going for 15 fitment on my wheels to be safe (19x9.5 +5)
