Personally, upsizing 2" over the 'stock' wheels is asking for problems - there's just not much rubber left as a cushion. The slightest bump at speed could require repairs/replacements. Where I live, the roads just don't support that. Yours may, but even if you do get the insurance, it is likely to be inconvenient. They warn about larger wheels in the user's manual for a reason...
The grip with the 'stock' wheels and tires is fine, and I can't see the wheels while I'm driving, so it's not a big deal to me. The ride of the RFTs isn't as good as I'd like, but I knew that going in.
