I was looking at that piece and the auto shift knob. Looks like the surround just lifts out, right? That looks like a do-it-yourself job, but the shift knob I have no idea how to install. |
I can ask my service manager friend to check if you like. I think the e-brake takes some muscle but is doable, same for a standard knob but the auto version looks like it would be a bitch and possibly delicate w all the electronics. I assume if you break the stuff that stays and is reused with the new knob it could be a nightmare. Sun provided the instructions straight from BMW for my pedals, you could ask them too.
