if the valves are forced into a closed position and the engine is pushed to its limits, this could indicate that the valves weren't operating as they would under standard conditions. Normally, the valves would open slightly when the throttle is fully engaged.

While I'm not sure why you would choose to do this, still the likelihood of causing damage in this scenario is minimal.

However, if concerns about such uncommon and unlikely scenarios are significant for you, it may be best to keep it stock.
