Every other gear will go higher without issues. I remember my previous M240i with the ZF 8 speed has something similar happen in first gear but not nearly as bad of a shake just like a little delay.
Anybody else experiencing this?

I've noticed in 1st-2nd WOT shifting near redline, you gotta give it a bit of room to shift. I think you are hitting the limiter. On my car, I've noticed a bit of a delay on the 1st-2nd upshift, hit the limiter a few times myself even shifting before redline.
I'd try purposefully hitting the limiter once and see if it's the same feeling.
