Any way to get Sport+ burbles in other modes

I like the sound of Sport+, but hate the throttle mapping. From what I understand, a valve controller makes the exhaust louder but doesn't change the burbles. Is there any way to change that short of a custom tune on an unlocked DME?

Why do you hate the throttle mapping of Sport+?

It's artificially responsive, hard to modulate since it "boosts" the pedal input.

I wonder if that was part of my issue when I was evaluating the ZF8. I took out a brand new X3MC and cranked everything up (Sport+ and D3) and boy it was a bucking Bronco. Comical and shocking at the same time.
In more recent test drives I backed both of those to Sport and D2 and it was quite a bit better behaved.
BMW really has tuned these things for what they say they’re for. Don’t crank everything up to go get groceries down the street, unless you’re going to try and set PRs going to the grocery store.

Was it "bucking" at the top of each gear?

Pretty much. It would’ve been better if I had more experience with the car on a real road. Neither of those were the case.

I seem to remember seeing a graph that showed that Sport was actually the serial (flat) throttle mapping and that comfort was slower on the uptake. Anyone have that by chance?

Sorry OP - Not Answering your question…because I don’t know.

It may have been cutting out to "protect" the motor. Turning traction control/MDM off should take care of it (of course, you would need to drive accordingly based on the conditions).

my dct f87 has got into a bucking feedback loop at slow speeds several times, you kinda have to get used to it which to me is tapping the gas before accelerating

if it's non 48v mild-hybrid battery , then can add burbles without ECU Unlock.

I remember the same graph...that Sport is the most linear response. Track guys still seem to prefer economy so as not to upset the car in turns when squeezing throttle back on....

Can I find that graph now? heck no!

I've wondered about using one of those pedal commanders, but in reverse, people usually use them to get our Sport+ response. Still, I wonder if it's in like eco if it would counteract the Sport+ and not be so ridiculous.

With the manual I love the Sport+ throttle tune., makes rev matching much easier.

im not sure about the pedal commander but I used the Dinan throttle responder in the past, and you can certainly use it to to lower the response (its called Eco mode)
