How is handling corners with 255 up front vs the 225 stock? Also do you spin off a dig at all with 295 in the rear?
I can’t tell you exactly about handling because I set up tyres with 350 treadwear. To compare 225 wide with 200 treadwear will be much better in the corners I think. Wide tyres is must have for finish look of M car. 225 is for Toyota Corolla I think

And the rear 295 is still gives ability to drift corners, but again great look from the back.

Hello all,

Looking to buy a winter wheel and tire

Planning to buy Braelin BR14 wheels.

Front spec: 19x8.5 ET30
Will it clear the huge ZTK brakes?

Rear spec debating between
19x 9.5 ET30 and
19x 9.5 ET42
Which one you recommend?

Tires will be Michelin xIce snow
Front : 225/40R19
Rear: 255/35R19

Similar to non-ztk cars.

Your comments are welcome.

Yes, no doubt. I have 19x8.5 ET30 and there's plenty of room for that 2mm to come out. I might even say 32-35 is ideal for an 8.5" rim.

Adding to the offset mean pushing towards the suspension or inwards so 2mm more in vs your setup. Fitment of et32 mean 7mm closer to suspension in the front vs stock ztk setup. Depending on the wheel and if the person have the ztk brakes it might not clear the brakes up front.

As for look it will need significant spacers to look great, I would say at least 15mm.

My understanding is the larger number of Offset (or ET) results in the wheel moving outward, away from the brake caliper.

Your understanding is incorrect. The exact opposite is the case. A zero offset means the mounting face of the wheel is exactly on the centerline of the wheel. Positive offset indicates that the mounting face of the wheel is outward toward the face of the wheel and the larger the number, the farther outward it is. Moving the mounting face outward results in the wheel moving inward in relation to the hub.
