I think the biggest issues for me here in Scotland are going to be the combination of wet/cold (0-5C) and the appalling road surfaces (well, those plus 500nm torque ) - I've driven in 3rd world countries that have better road surfaces than the UK I suspect I'll drive 'cautiously' as we get into November, then most likely have to bite the bullet and get full winters. One of the other UK-based G87 owners is running crossclimates on a fairly torquey EV, and he reckons anything over 300bhp is broadly undeployable in the winter here. Might not have to go square though - have found some Japan Racing rims in the staggered OEM sizes plus Yokohama BluEarth full winters for around £2K that might fit the bill. EDIT: interesting to see the average daytime temperature here doesn’t drop much below 7C… though that limit is obviously impacted by rain/bad roads . If you decide to get tires more suitable for inclement but not severe conditions, consider: All Weather Tires. Not as much performance sacrafice as Winters.

Unfortunately DWS06 stock sizes (275/30/19 & 285/30/20) aren’t available in the UK |
