AutoID Splitter | DON'T BUY IT.

Don't buy the AutoID front splitter. It's cheap, flimsy plastic that will break. I received a defective one and only found out at the final stage of professional installation. The winglet was the wrong size, melted, and sat near flush with the bumper. While driving far from home, I heard scraping and realized the splitter was destroyed, dragging and held on by screws. Thanks to some local kids in an M4, I barely made it home. This junk costs a few hundred bucks and is held by pathetic 10mm screws. Avoid AutoID's plastic junk.

A shit job? The thing was warped from the factory. Look how it sits near flush with this bumper.

I bought the wingless one recently and other than a small chip in the front (which to be fair I didn't check before install) it's been fine and looks great.

If it was warped when taking it out of the box then you shouldn’t have installed it. Should have reached out to auto id.

It's on me for not inspecting it, of course it was the last piece I went to put on. Now I have to wait until August for them to send me another one as it's on backorder. Lmao..

Agree, its plain junk. I have similar experience.
Similar story with the basic CF version.

So, I'm not gonna disagree with the quality of the splitter being what it is. That said, at least for myself, I knew that this is a cheaper and by extension easily replaceable option compared to most others, save for the AliExpress or Temu special. I got mine specifically because I expected it to take the damage and brake off easily, preventing worse damage to my bumper since most of the roads I drive on are horrible, along with most drive ways to parking spaces near me seeming to have angles only meant for my 4Runner. I bought 2 of them when they were on sale last year for less than the price of a much better quality one and have performed as I intended (currently on my second one), with one breaking away after taking the brunt of the impact with tire on the freeway. If you truly wanted quality, you would've forked out the extra cost for something better or at the very least have thoroughly inspected it upon receipt (there's actually one or 2 older posts on which AutoID replaced damaged splitters).

fwiw, ive had mine from autoid and its done what its supposed to do. ive definitely bumped and scratched it and its held up fine. happy with the look and fitment. only complaint would be i wish they had instructions and not just a 'watch youtube' type thing.

I returned mine and went with the TRE Splitter and Winglets. There was paint run lines, it felt cheap, I sat on it for a week, and I just couldn't put something that sub par on my brand new BMW.

My mates auto ID one for same car fell off and went under the car and was installed by a reputable installer.

I agree, I have front splitter and rear CS Style spoiler.
On over 18 months and 12,000 miles and as good today as the day they went on - happy to recommend!

Did you just use the screws and 3M tape or did you apply some glue too?
