Gentlemen,

I need a favor. If any of you with auto could confirm this for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Im hearing this very faint hum (more like blowing air across a bottle top) sound between 62MPH and 70MPH. I only hear it when giving it throttle between 62MPH and 70MPH. 7-8th gear. It doesnt matter what engine mode. It stops the second I let off gas. I can control it giving light throttle and lifting off throttle.

Could any of you check to see if yours makes this sound next time you drive?

Put it in full auto, radio off get up to 60mph, slowly accelorate to 62MPH. Do you hear a hum sound the second you hit 62MPH and between 62-70mph. If you lift off between those speeds, does it stop? Trying to figure out of it is normal or not. My M3 didnt do this. But my M2 does and has since day one. Not sure if its my diff, fuel pump, or just normal noise from a M2. Its not that loud. But I can hear it.

Thank you all in advance.

BW

PS: AC on or off no difference. Radio on or off, no difference, M sound on or off, no difference. Exhaust values fully open or in OEM mode, no difference. But the less sound you have playing inside the cabin, the easier to hear the hum.
