Interested as well. I have the HK system and the under seat “subs” are okay, but leave a little to be desired. I don’t want to rattle the car apart but just a little bit more oomph. I have the lower frequencies turned up almost all the way in the EQ and the Bowers sound profile coded in.

I added a powered JL 8" sub and now the HK system is great.

Agreed, I am very happy with the HK system with the added subwoofer in the trunk.

Care to share pics of your installation? Considering this!

The only picture I have on my phone is the finished product. If you'd like, I can take some more in a couple weeks. It was all pretty simple once I figured out my issues with the Technic PNP harness. I put heavy duty velcro on the bottom of the sub box and it hasn't moved yet.

Is that the ACP108LG-W3v3 with the 250w amp built in?

How does it sound? I was considering something simple like this to add a bit of kick.

Same one, it sounds great to me. Provides the lows the HK system is missing, but doesn't rattle your windows off. It's plenty loud for its size. The m240 HK system should have come with a real factory sub like other models have. My wife's X7 has a factory sub that sounds pretty good, but the addition of this JL sounds better.

Has anyone installed an under seat sub? It looks like one would just fit behind the HK one on the passenger side.

How are you all wiring in a subwoofer in the trunk with the integrated sound system? What about controlling it?

I used this harness plugged into the booster for the powered sub. Everything is controlled by the factory system. JL Audio does make a small output remote for its subs that you can run wherever you want. I didn't bother getting it.

What were the issues you had to fix with that harness.

Watched a video on the bavsound underneath, doesn't seem like it's possible those provide the bass extension needed.

The first harness i received was for a different car and the second was missing 12v power. I fixed the second harness myself. I haven't heard of others having issues with their wiring harnesses.

Feedback wanted.....

I am definitely leaning towards ordering the Bavsound speakers for my HiFi system and wondering if anyone in San Diego has them installed to meet up and listen or get some feedback on if it was worth the investment? I would likely get the Match Up 8 amp as well .....

I would do the whole set with the bavsound subs ......

I ordered the Harman Kardon system in my car. How many speakers do we have? Do we have the 12 or the 14, I think it was? Wasn't there two different versions of the HK setup?

The G series HK systems got an upgrade from 360w and 12 speakers (in the F series) to 464w and 14 speakers. There's not currently 2 HK options, they just vary by generation.

So, I've got about a tank of gas worth of listening in on the HK system. Got it basically dialed in where I want it tuning wise... but it's just ok. Absolutely pales in comparison to the ELS studio system in my MDX Type S.

Bass lacks extension but is boomy at the same time, loses a ton of detail. Mids are unremarkable but not so bad, treble lacks clarity but the detail is mostly there.

Not sure where to begin in making changes but I'm definitely going to keep some upgrades on my to do list.
