For M2 logo, it's a special order to a french recaro dealer.
It isn't a plug & play and easy installation. I can't did it by myself.
The result is absolutely amazing. Very confortable and also really good for trackday sessions.
I loose the heating system but I really don't care.
I can't adjust the hight (except with tools at home) but I can move the seat manually in front or back. I can also move the back of seat like before and access normally to the back seats.

Has anyone actually had an issue with the center piece? I haven’t sat in them but I’ve only heard people who don’t have them complain about that bit.

Also those Recaro do look nice but I ordered the carbon buckets. It would be nice if they offered a color that matched the exterior.

I sat in a manual M3 with them before specing the G87 and determined they wouldn’t work for me when heel-toeing due to the central hump.

Yeah that’s what I’m saying. I haven’t heard anyone who actually has them complain.
But I guess if you’re heel toeing then sure it could be an issue. I’ve heard the pedals in general aren’t set up for good heel toe.

I’m assuming many people tried them out in 2022/2023 in the M3/M4 before ordering their G87 (as I did), before G87s were available, hence most people got what was appropriate, as opposed to regretting ordering the wrongs seats.

I thought about only getting one seat. My OCD and obsession with symmetry would drive me crazy. I would have to get 2.
The Recaro Podium seats are about the same price and look pretty cool.
Not sure how comfortable they may be.

Definitely not cheaper.
OEM are $4500 installed for both with no coding necessary.

These are $3495 each with back release and heat. Plus coding out airbags and such. Not sure if seat rails are needed.

I see that airbags can be included (in development) but probably will make the price for one close to what it is for both seats already in the car.

So even for one you’re paying $1k less or $1500 with no options.
