Hi folks

What have people seen as roughy delivery times from status 165 (in transit) to being ready to collect at dealership?

My M2 went to status 165 on the 20th January and have been told it should be at the dealership week starting 4th March. That seems very quick but wasn’t sure what others have seen?

How did this pan out date wise mate?
I’m on status 165 as of May 3rd.

Just put an order in today for UK M2 LCI model and est delivery date of 10th Dec 2024.
I assume at this point that is a work of fiction, based on my experience in 2021 waiting for my M440i.
How are fellow 2025 orderers doing on their waits in the UK?

Ordered 16/07.
Built 13/08.
Currently waiting at Altamira port and will be on either Hamburg Highway or Hawaiian Highway arriving end of September for Early October delivery.

Nice, looks like I was a month late ordering for Oct Delivery and now it'll be December/Jan.

Mine was supposed to be a promotion to get cars sold before end of calendar year. A similar propmotion to when I got my M440i and they got me in the car on Dec 31st!

Had an e mail monday saying the guy dealing with my order has left and my details have been passed to a new contact. Anyway called today and asked about updates because haven't heard anything. Car should be built around end of October/Nov. Delivery date 15th Dec. Not sure how accurate that is but thats right on top of xmas so i would guess it could be early January. Ordered end of August... Brooklyn Grey,Auto,carbon roof, carbon interior,blue calipers.Black wheels.

Just contacted my dealer for an update and was told my car is built and on route. Any idea which vessel this is likely to be. I'm still assuming a middle Dec 2024 delivery.

I think if it is definitely en route already you could be looking at a nov delivery. Cars are getting shipped faster than the last 2 years due to there not being half as many supply issues also m2s seem to be getting pumped out rather quickly. I ordered mine on 2 Sept and was given a delivery date of 30th Dec on the official form. Tracking after I received the vin number said week 50. So w/c Dec 3 roughly and now it's come back to Week 48 w/c Nov 25th supposedly. Guess we'll see. I'm at 165 waiting to board a ship. So if yours is already shipped. Mid-end Nov is quite likely

An update
Car was apparently shipped out around 22 oct. The only matching ship schedule i could find was for the Hamburg Highway from Altamira to Barcelona then on to Southampton docking on 11th Nov . Guess work i know. Haven't a clue how long they stay at port but my delivery was week commencing 9th Dec.

Car is still on a boat somewhere and due to disembark later in Nov or early-Dec.

I have finally managed to get a test drive though. I ordered in mid-August and have been waiting since then for a test drive. Though to be fair the dealer demo car got stolen and trashed a few days before my original test drive date...still find it hard to beleive no other test cars available in UK.

Anyways, fingers crossed I don't hate it...

After the testdrive I had of the 460bhp version today I'm now a little nervous about it all.

Ah congratulations! I shouldve mentioned the hamburg highway to you to be fair, could have helped speed things up. My bad.

I ordered mine 2 Sept and was given 30th Dec on the form, when tracking it said week 50, and then week 49, then 48. And now seems set on 48.

I dont imagine the cars being at port of arrival longer than 2 weeks so you should definitely get it before end of November in my opinion.

HH is on its way to Barcelona now and it could arrive on the 8th not the 7th, and then we have to see when it gets a docking slot. That would push back it's arrival to Southampton. But even if you add on 4 days it should still all be sorted before end of Nov.

Winters coming in and I hadn't driven a RWD car since my 420i.

I have visions of ending up in a ditch if I wear shoes that are fractionally too heavy.

LMAOO tbf I drove it quite hard on my test drive and it's pretty planted, I had it on a damp day too, but if you get a set of snow tires, honestly you'll be laughing at how capable it is.

If you go to tyre reviews on YouTube and look up rwd snow tests you'll see how much of a diff snow tires make even in swerve tests. It's actually insane.

And worse come to worse just slap it on comfort mode and don't go over like. 60% throttle you'll be fine.
