I need to transport 4 winter tires to my dealer to get them put on the car. Does anybody know if all four fit in a g87?

I was able to get all 4 wheels inside of the car, but there were no tires mounted. Folded the seats down and was able to get the two rears and into the trunk staggered, and then one of the fronts was able to go on top of be seats folded down. The last front wheel went on the passenger seat which made for a very uncomfortable drive.

These were brand new 827Ms.

I don't think the tires would have fit if I'm honest. I can tell you though, I would never have tried this with used wheels or tires.

The car does have a lot of space. I was able to fit an incredibly insane amount of stuff from crate and barrel into the car one time. The wheels/tires are just large and awkward and can only fit in so many unique ways.

Guess a second car will be needed for transport.

I fit the stock wheels with tires mounted

- 1 tire in the trunk
- 2 tires in the rear seats
- 1 tire in the front seat

I could not fit any other way without feeling like I was going to damage something.

You should be able to do it. I test fit my F87 winter wheel/tire set in the G87 when I was selling the F87 wheels. Note the F87 tires were 255/35R19 so slightly smaller than G87 tires, but there was room to spare.

- Two stacked behind the driver seat
- One leaned on the stacked tires
- One in the trunk

Pictures attached viewing from each door. Recommend tire bags if possible. Service guy at the dealership gave me 4 bags.

Definitely use tire bags and I would cover inside with blankets.

I cleaned them and put them in tire totes to try and mitigate any damage. I didn't notice anything.

I did almost the same with unmounted stock tires- in bags. I had the rear seats folded down.

+1 for tire bags, good ones that have handles. Keeps dust and crap off of the tires when stored, keeps road gunk off things the tires touch. Tire bags are a super cheap investment.

I grabbed a set of bags from tire rack and have been using them for a decade.

you can put three upright in the backseat with the seat folded down. Slide the passenger front seat all the way forward and up and you can maneuver the tires in there without damage. I do it all the time when I go to the track. The 4th tire can fit in the trunk.

Do you load them from the trunk or from the passenger/driver side at the front?

ZPD How does this work for driver's seat leg room? This morning I tried the "2 stacked on top of each other and 1 leaning" in the back seat and learned that it forced the driver's seat SUPER far forward and I'm 6'6" tall so I was super cramped driving to the dealership.

I like your picture and think that setup will be more space efficient for the driver's seat to allow me some leg room. Just curious on your thoughts.

I load them through the passenger side with the passenger seat slid all the way forward, up, and tilted so that the headrest is almost touching the sun visor. The rear seats need to be down (or if you are a track rat then remove your back seat completely- if you do this with the rear seat out then you can see out of your back window). I grab one of the wheel spokes with my left hand at the ~7 'clock position and the tire with my right hand at the 2 o'clock position and maneuver the tire in there so that nothing hits my seats or trim. When I am done the passenger seat goes back to standard position. I strap them down so they don't move while driving. I have 305's btw which is probably worst-case scenario.

My back seat is removed which allows the spare tires to sit lower and a bit further back. In this scenario, I have 2-3" of space between the tires and the back of my carbon buckets. I am 5'-10"

ZPD ah yeah, that would make a world of difference. Good to know that if I need to transport them for a long distance, then remove the back seat
