2025 M240 xdrive with Dinan intake and axle back exhaust + AA catted downpipe
Figured I'd make a quick thread about my new 2025 M240. I got the car 2 weeks ago and immediately ordered the Dinan intake and exhaust as well as the AA catted downpipe. There wasn't any year specific upgrades for the 2025 model year so I just ordered 2024 and there was no issues. I wanted to get more sound and driving experience without a CEL or issues. I had everything installed at TPG Tuning outside Pittsburgh, highly recommend if you're in the Pittsburgh/Western PA area.
The Dinan exhaust looks great and I will admit it is alot louder than I expected with the downpipe. The intake sounds amazing even with the limited throttle application I made. I followed the break in procedure for the downpipe and drove it 20 miles home nice and easy. Also, I bought the newer gen of the AA catted downpipe with their own high flow cat as opposed to the GESI version. I will admit on the highway it is loud and has some drone around 2k RPM. Car only has 400 miles on it so once I reach the break in of the engine I will post some WOT videos. Hoping I don't get a CEL. Last edited by M240xSI; 12-06-2024 at 10:20 AM.. |

Got my exhaust and downpipe from XPH, awesome service and super fast shipping. Love the sound, but wow is it loud especially on cold start. My neighbors hate me right now.
Wanting to add a piggy back. I'm between JB+ or Dinan. This car is my daily driver and I am a field sales rep so I need reliability as I will be putting alot of miles on it. I know this subject has been beaten to death but I am just looking for a little extra. Does it pay to add a JB4 or Racechip. I don't want to be switching maps, I just want to set it and forget it. Thanks! |

any of the tunes you mentioned will get you the results you are looking for. I'd still go with the JB4 because it's the only option with the absolute maps which will deliver more predictable power on G chassis cars that have high boost targets from stock
