Spacers with OEM Wheels/Yokos/Suspension
My head spins when I try to parse the winning solution from the threads I’ve seen. Too many variables! For example, I’ve gathered that 15mm in front works with other OEM rubber, but not with Yokos.
Please keep it simple and post what size spacers worked for you only if you: a) are not lowered; b) are on OEM wheels (930s); and c) are on OEM Yokohama Advan Sport V107 tires. Thanks in advance! |

Would be keen to hear some feedback on this. I am in exactly the same position. I have 15mm spacers waiting to install once the run in service is complete. So would be good to know if I will need to modify the liners.

I have 15mm spacers for front and rear, and meet the criteria for a, b, and c. I just haven't installed them yet.
Scrutineer can you please point us to a thread regarding "15mm in front works with other OEM rubber, but not with Yokos." Also, check out this video at 2:54, where they state BMW "fixed" the rubbing issue with the M2, compared to the M3 and M4 that still having rubbing issues even with 12mm spacers:

There’s further discussion elsewhere in that thread, but this is the post that has me starting threads like this one. |

Thanks for the link to the other thread. I wonder if there's any difference between the '23/'24 and the LCI '25 when it comes to the rubbing issue with Yokos?
I'm still healing up from retina detachment surgery, so will be a while before I get my spacers on to try things out. But once I do, will report back my findings. -Tom

Just checked, I have the Yokos, and I did 15 all around. Had to do the liner modification, as it would rub while reversing at full lock. That being said, do not experience any rubbing now.

1. Only the front is an issue with 15mm, right? Rears are fine? 2. What’s your best guess - would 12mm in the front be fine? |

People had rubbing even with 12mm on the front, its hit or miss. No issues with the rears...I run 15mm with Yokos and only had rubbing in the front not the rear. I know several people who were running the Mich PS4s and they had rubbing with 12mm on the front.

I’m max low on MPHAS with Yokos and 12mm spacers. I’ve only barely rubbed twice at full lock in reverse. I pushed hard on the fender liners and I think gained the 1 mm or so to prevent further rubbing. No big deal.

When it does happen, is it in reverse with wheel at full lock?

I have the Yokos and have ordered Eibach springs and 12mm spacers front and rear. I’m hoping I don’t have to modify the inside front bumper.

Thanks for the info. I think this locks me in on 10mm/15mm. Seems like the safest play. I have no appetite for adjusting or replacing the liners. That’ll be better than nothing up front.

Its pretty rough, I need to take the wheel off and clean it up. Sorry I haven't been on the board much (had the flu). I will take a pic. I took some chalk (climbing chalk) and put it on the fins. Thats how I figured out which fins were rubbing. It still rubs a tad depending on the way the springs are loaded up due to undulations in the driveway.

Im on mphas kit and asked my local dealer to give me a price on some 1000m wheels there reply would suggest theres some small trims for the arches and I'm guessing these are to prevent rubbing, below is the reply, it might be worth speaking with your dealer.
"Good afternoon. I have put together a quote for the Wheel & tyre set. There are some additional items that will need to be supplied with the wheels which are small trims for the arches" |
