New BMW Performance Exhaust Owners

All,

It occurs to me with Cotswolds good pricing ( even more remarkable when the £ = Euro?) it appear lots of people been getting one recently.

Hands up.....

Fitted mine to my 330i N53 at the weekend......... nice sound as revs climb maybe a little to quiet.

How long did yours take to arrive? I'm on week 6 now and still waiting. The price was fantastic compared to others but the wait is annoying. Apparently BMW Germany are waiting for an ETA from the actual manufacturers.

I had mine fitted at the weekend. I've just completed a trip to Manchester and back today and it is definitely getting louder the more i use it. I'm going to give it a good month and see what its like. All the reviews suggest you need to let it settle in for a period.

How was the fit of it? I know a few people in the past said the tailpipes stuck out a little too far and had to get the garage to cut further back.

Sweet. I might keep them in mind for when mine arrives. Are they based in the north west area though?

I did mine myself. Was brave letting the father-in law loos with the saw!

Pipes possibly out a little further. Base on box and hangers being OEM is identical to original in terms of size & positioning.

So if it sticks out a little further that is as the man intended. If you go further back into the car I guess the hanger positions would not be right & need a bit of adjustment to keep angle the same.

I am cycling at the mo. so not putting the miles on. I guess its a different box but the 130i boys used to rave about it with cracks & pops galore.

I was told 4 & it was 3 weeks. I actually thought they had discontinued & dropped the price to shift stock. Was happy when it turned up.

My standard exhaust pops and crackles when I give it some.

Maybe I'm just lucky

I've got it for my n53, it does produce a lovely sound and the throttle response is much better. It compliments the perfromance exhaust which is getting better the more i user the car.

Anyone tried it on 320d?
If yes, seriously how much difference you feel?
There are youtube videos but none recorded while driving.

I had the PE on my 320d e92, looked great especially compared to the oval exhaust. Sounded a lot better too. I sold it to Dsport on here who put it on his e91. It did seem to pull better too

On my last Audi (B8) I gutted the back box and removed the centre box there was little difference in sound but it did rev more freely through the range,

On my 320d after fitting the Pe you get the same result as the Audi feels more free and revs better, but the sound is better when you go the the rev range it sounds like it's trying to suck the road up behind, I don't have a GoPro to do a sound clip unfortunately, My original plan was to get a 330 back box and gut it,
I don't know if you'd get the sound though, it sounds strange talking about an exhaust note on a 320d

Thanks.
I am going to buy a 320d. Its having aftermarket backbox versus oem performance box for 320d.

Is it worth of spending and fitting performance box which will cost me £500 fitted? In other words does the sound difference is worthy for £500?
