Backfire ?

For the past couple of months or so I realized that my car have when shifting from 1st to second with pedals under heavy acceleration have loud boom like backfire sound coming from exhaust ( not burble sound ) .. Not always but 75% of a time it dose .. It sounds awesome tho similar to my freinds sti with full turbo back .. But I hope it's not something bad like my car running very lean or something .. Dose anyone have this .? I didn't notice it summer time .. But now when it got very cold it dose that ..

happens here too and it only happens with jb4 , wont happen in stock map ^_^.

isn't the backfire noise from extra fuel making its way into the exhaust? so it would be running super rich??

I have it on mine without any engine tune. Have it almost on all gears. It BOOMs every time I change gears while accelerating hard.

The BOOM does happen on every gear change when you put your foot into it; even with the stock map. º_O

Totally normal and somewhat awesome sound! Really good with an akra exhaust and MPPK.
Don't worry and just enjoy it.

I guess it is normal .. The boom I'm referring is not burp we have or gear Change slam sound but loud explosion type a sound like u usually turbo cars with straight pipe makes while shifting .. It's nice I love it .. Makes people ask me wtf u got in their ...

i tried with MPPK stock map it doesn't work only happens with map2(map7 too).. not sure about map1.

Hello

My car is a 07/2012 335i f30

I have the akrapovic exhaust.
It BOOMs every time I change gears while accelerating hard.
But now i have the ppk installed and the boom is gone.

What is the problem?

it should be there and more aggresive with mppk i have it too but without akrapovic.

For me it is definitely not there.
Did my brought into the workshop today. Maybe what is wrong with the software.

Today, it has been found that the pressure transducer is of the turbo defective. Can thus eliminated the exhaust bang?
