I just got back from a 2day driving school and was super impressed with the C8s PDR system.

hit record and it all saves to an SD card and gives you all the input info (video screen shot/pics for reference).

Do M Cars have this built in as well?

not that I am aware of, but that would be cool. My M850i has a drive recorder but I think it is only used during an accident.
Othe track I use the Track Addict app which is pretty impressive

I think I’ve seen that certain dash-cams or action cams can overlay performance information. Looks like there are options for lots of dashcams. Not sure how much telemetry they can display. Maybe with an OBD reader they can interface with some of these software programs. Not sure.

you can get the M Performance Drive Analyzer, which is a OBD dongle that connects to your phone via bluetooth and (you'll have to mount your phone) you can record your sessions on your phone

cmgbk75 uses a dashcam and has the analyzer, but I don’t think they can be overlayed. He will be able to tell us more.

When you record video using the Drive Analyzer, the playback will have lots of info overlaid on the video (speed, gear, RPMs, track position, etc.)

Not sure it would, the connection is via bluetooth to the app on the phone. So the app recognizes the OBD dongle automatically and allows you to video record from the app.

Dashcam is separate. It doesn’t connect to the Drive Analyzer. Drive Analyzer has a Dashcam function which is what you saw when I recorded the High Beams.
