G82 in production. Sell or Keep F82?
I have a G82 M4CX currently under production (at 150 status). I am anticipating delivery in August hopefully. I currently own 18' F82 that has 34k miles now. I bought the car from a private seller (bimmerpost forum member) in 2020. I do have a sentimental attachment to F82 as it is my first ever M car and I bought it outright with hard earned money.
With the current market of used cars it's hard to resist selling F82. I am in the dilemma whether to sell it now as I am already getting a G82 that does have performance and tech improvements over F82 OR to just keep it and use it as a daily while using G82 as a weekend car. I will be curious to know if anyone else decided to keep F8x and also got into a G8x.

Having two generations of M4 back to back is somewhat pointless IMO, especially the F & G chassis.
They're not that much different enough to keep both. I'd personally take advantage of the current used car market and move on to the G82. Just my $0.02 |

If the F82 is manual there's a reason there. Otherwise, expect you'll largely be driving the G82 when given a choice.

Sell it now why prices are still high. You can always get another down the road when the prices go back to normal and tank on M3/4's

I sold my F80 M3 CS for the G82 M4C and have no regrets if that means anything. Sure, it would be nice to have both, but if I still had keys to the F80, I'd still pick the G82 to drive. It's faster, nicer inside, and drives better.

I sold my F82 about 5 months before I was able to take delivery of my G82. Because of the market I got a great price, and because we have a second car I was able to get around. Not being in an M for that long made me appreciate my G82 that much more when I finally took delivery, and everything feel truly new and different especially compared to our SUV.

Sell it while the market is hot. G8X is better in almost every way
