Rear arch guard for G82?
Can anyone help me identify this piece?
For those with euro spec G82s, is there an arch guard piece on the rear wheel well? Does anyone have a P/N for these? Thanks in advance. *Picture borrowed from GregM4 's post. |

Took a look and I will need to take the wheel off to confirm for sure, but it does look like a separate piece which fits under the wheel lining. As I said though, will need to confirm when the wheel is removed at some point.

There are different regulations, depending on which country, you're in. If you look close at the EU spec G8X, they don't have a front reflector that everyone in the US likes to delete with a painted piece. Here is another option.

Just wanted to give an update on this part.
It's called 'SET FLAP REAR', P/N: 51128086600 It comes as a set for both left and right and apparently no screws are needed to install, as they're attached using double sided tape. (ordered 2 of these thinking L & R, ended up with 2 sets lol) Running aftermarket wheels that are wider and/or with more aggressive offsets, these can provide an additional 3.5 inches of protection for your wheel well lip lol Joking aside, I wanted to try these euro OEM pieces and see how they look. Apparently the Xpel PPF pattern starts exposing the lip paint and this piece covers it up perfectly. |

This is so funny, everyone in Europe can't wait to rip those guards off, yet the US guys can't wait to put them on their cars.
The grass is always greener I guess

Why do you want pieces of black plastic that only exist due to the Eurpoean bureaucracy?

First time I saw the C7Z with the front arch guards, I thought it looked weird. But then as time passed, I thought it looked cool. A similar rear flap piece like this is present on the Merc GLS and I thought 'hmm, interesting'. You may never get why I tinker around with things like these, but I'll try my best to explain; 1. I hate wheels poking out further than the sheet metal. Most of the time I choose a very moderate, conservative offset so the wheels never stick out. The wheels I recent got have +16 on the rear, +14 on the front. Fronts are pretty much flush, but with the rears being an inch wider (.5" on each sides) they are slightly more than my liking. I figured these flaps or some kind of splash guards may help with the poked wheel look. Same reason why I'm considering the MP rear winglet. 2. It's a little discrete mod that I get to enjoy for myself, just like the sticky note I put on my trike's splash guard as a kid, or those cards we used to stick into the bicycle wheels to make cool noises. 3. Like I said, I like weird stuff. |
